Has Your Tree Left You Stumped?
Have you ever had a tree fall down? Or maybe you’ve had one removed on your property?
Whatever may have happened, the tree is gone, but you just don’t know what to do about the stump left behind? Don’t worry, you are not alone! We’ve found that lots of folks don’t really know what to expect when it comes to stump grinding, but that’s where we can help. We have a dedicated stump removal crew who can expertly remove that stump so that you can be free to replant or resod the area and forget that a stump was even there.
Stump Removal Process
One of the first things we have to consider is access. Will our stump grinder fit comfortably through your fence or on certain areas of your property?
It is 36” wide when we have the rubber tracks fully retracted! And, speaking of rubber tracks, the more twisting and turning we have to do to maneuver the stump grinder, the more likely there will be some damage to your turf. Grinding stumps can be messy work!
The next thing you should expect is wood chips. Even a small stump can create lots and lots of wood chips. Our stump grinder can grind up to 12 inches below the ground; there is a lot of wood you can’t see down there, and it won’t all fit back into the hole it came from. Therefore, there will be a mound of chips left on top of the ground.
The good news is you now have some free mulch to spread in your planting beds or around other trees at your location! Feeling stumped? Give our office a call at 864-244-3088 today, or ask one of our Certified Arborists.
